About The Position

Amtech Systems is seeking a detail-oriented Deburr Technician to support the finishing and preparation of precision-manufactured components used in semiconductor and aerospace applications. This role is responsible for removing burrs, sharp edges, and surface imperfections using a variety of hand tools and finishing equipment to ensure parts meet strict quality and dimensional standards.

Requirements

• Familiarity with basic inspection and metrology tools
• Strong hand–eye coordination and fine motor skills
• Ability to follow written instructions and work with minimal supervision
• High attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move parts as required (typically up to 25–35 lbs.)

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in deburring, hand finishing, or precision part preparation in semiconductor, aerospace, or similar manufacturing environments
• Experience working in cleanroom or controlled environments

Responsibilities

• Perform deburring, hand-finishing, and edge-break operations on metal components
• Use hand tools such as files, scrapers, sandpaper, air pens, die grinders, and right-angle grinders
• Inspect parts visually and with basic measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify conformance
• Follow detailed work instructions, drawings, and quality specifications
• Maintain accuracy and consistency when working with small, delicate, or high-precision parts
• Handle and move parts safely throughout the finishing process
• Keep work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety and quality standards
• Communicate any defects, irregularities, or process concerns to the supervisor or quality team
