Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate
  • 1+ years of professional work experience in a factory/production environment; or the completion of a machining certification
  • Ability to work one of the following shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted
  • Ability to use physical and repetitive movement, bending or twisting, using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls
  • Ability to be exposed to sounds and noise levels that are distracting
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of deburr experience using various deburr techniques using manual and automated equipment
  • Experience working in a machine shop
  • Experience with basic blueprint reading
  • Knowledge of CNC machining
  • Experience using various measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, profilometers, and borescopes

Responsibilities

  • Deburr and process machined valve components in post-machining
  • Interpret drawings per ASME Y14.5-2009 standard to maintain part specifications
  • Chase machine cut threads to size if necessary
  • Polish tight tolerance surface finishes and inspect with profilometer
  • Wash parts that have gone through the deburr process and passivate using citric passivation
  • Assist with material inventory and prepare hardware for machining processes
  • Operate a mass finishing barrel tumbler using given recipes for specific parts and materials
  • Meet expectations for productivity and production goals
  • Maintain a clean and efficient work environment
  • Keep products consistently moving and alert management when production is inhibited
  • Provide ideas for continuous process improvements
