About The Position

The Deburr Technician II finishes precision-machined metal, plastic, and rubber components to customer specifications. The role involves deburring, grinding, polishing, buffing, tumbling, cleaning, and measuring parts in a quality-focused machine shop. The technician completes production and quality documentation, follows safety requirements, and maintains a clean work area. The position is on the first shift, Monday through Friday, from 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM, with overtime available based on need, typically 5–10 hours per week. Compensation is $25–$31.50 per hour plus a shift differential. The company offers training and professional development opportunities.

Requirements

1–2 years of relevant hands-on finishing or machine shop experience.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to use calipers, micrometers, and similar measuring tools.
Strong math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and fractions.
Basic computer skills.
Working knowledge of customer specifications.
Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.

Nice To Haves

Experience in a machine shop or manufacturing environment.
Experience reading prints or work instructions.
Experience with tumbling or vibratory equipment.

Responsibilities

Deburr, grind, polish, and buff parts using grinders, files, sanders, abrasive stones, and cloth.
Operate tumbling equipment according to work instructions.
Clean interior surfaces of holes and prepare parts for the next step.
Change tools on powered equipment and apply abrasive compounds, wax, or other dressings as needed.
Measure parts using calipers, micrometers, and similar tools, and flag nonconformities.
Complete production and quality logs.
Keep the work area clean and free of debris.
Follow safety requirements and work effectively as part of a team.
