About The Position

The Deburr Apprentice receives general guidance and training while learning to remove, blend, and smoothly polish miniature surfaces and edge defects, burrs, or contrasting colors using a microscope. The role offers opportunities to improve deburring competencies and skills, increase value and pay, and grow with the company. The apprentice learns to select and install miniature polishing tools and miniature parts into chucks, vises, or other holding devices; use job aids, routers, FESs, and blueprints; operate measurement devices; meet production standards; navigate FlexNet; and use Epicor effectively. The position requires clean and effective shift-to-shift handoffs and meeting expectations for safety and earned hours. The posting identifies first- or second-shift work.

Responsibilities
- Remove, blend, and smoothly polish miniature surfaces and edge defects, burrs, or contrasting colors using a microscope.
- Learn to select and install miniature polishing tools and miniature parts into chucks, vises, or other holding devices.
- Learn to use job aids, routers, FESs, and blueprints.
- Learn to use measurement devices, including calipers, gage blocks, and micrometers.
- Make clean and effective handoffs from shift to shift.
- Learn to meet production standards, navigate FlexNet, and use Epicor effectively.
- Meet expectations for safety and earned hours.
