About The Position

Flex is seeking a Debug Tech 4 to repair and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical assemblies in a manufacturing operation. The role involves diagnosing complex equipment issues at the component level, working with units that may have workmanship or technical errors, and using electronic test equipment and special tests to identify and verify test failures. The technician also provides technical guidance, collaborates with engineers, and assists with process equipment installation, debugging, and validation.

This is a second-shift position, Monday through Friday, from 3:00 p.m. to 11:15 p.m. The role is in the Production Engineering job category.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical and electrical assemblies used in equipment at the component level.
• Handle units that may have workmanship or technical errors.
• Operate electronic test equipment and conduct special tests as required.
• Analyze software, test, protocol, and script logs to diagnose and verify reasons for test failures.
• Verify causes of failures and determine whether units should be sent for repair or retested.
• Provide technical assistance, feedback, and guidance to other technical personnel and departments.
• Collaborate with engineers on functionality issues and procedure updates.
• Assist with the installation, debugging, and validation of process equipment.
• Follow safety guidelines and report unsafe conditions to a supervisor.
