About The Position

The Maintenance Tech 4 installs, maintains, tests, and repairs electrical systems, heavy machinery, and automated controls in manufacturing plants and industrial facilities in Saginaw, Michigan. This role supports safe, reliable operations by maintaining production equipment, diagnosing electrical and automation problems, and minimizing factory downtime.

Requirements

• High school diploma followed by a 4- to 5-year electrical apprenticeship.
• Valid state or regional journeyman or master electrician license.
• Deep understanding of electrical theory, power distribution, and industrial machinery.
• Ability to stand for long periods, climb ladders, and work in tight spaces.
• Good teamwork and communication skills to work alongside plant operators and engineers.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience within the Maintenance department.

Responsibilities

• Set up complex electrical circuits, wiring, high-voltage infrastructure, and production machinery.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and promptly repair electrical faults to avoid factory downtime.
• Diagnose wiring errors, motor issues, and sensor failures using multimeters and diagnostic equipment.
• Maintain and calibrate Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and industrial robotics.
• Follow safety protocols, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) rules and National Electrical Code (NEC) standards.
• Interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and equipment manuals.
