About The Position

The Debit Card Associate supports the bank’s debit card related initiatives. Their focus includes providing outstanding client experience related to debit card products and services. They must have good communication skills and be able to assist the frontline in supporting the needs of clients. They also work closely with other colleagues to assist in executing enhancements and initiatives related to debit cards to promote our existing debit card portfolio and ensure future growth. Below is a list of essential functions of this position. Additional responsibilities may be assigned in the position.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
  • Successful completion of required background checks is required.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and interpret documents.
  • Possesses professional communication and interpersonal skills to write and speak effectively both one-on-one and before groups of clients or employees of the organization.
  • Ability to communicate to clients directly and effectively.
  • Ability to utilize telephone systems and possess good digital literacy including email, internet, intranet, and Microsoft applications.
  • Prior experience or the ability to learn multiple card applications and embrace change and new technology.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to solve challenging problems involving several variables in a standardized situation.

Nice To Haves

  • Related experience and secondary education preferred.
  • Ability to compute sum, average, difference, and percents preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support front line inquiries following established service level standards.
  • Utilize critical thinking to identify solutions with the cardholder and bank in mind.
  • Take ownership of assigned tasks including balancing, maintenance, & inventory.
  • Follow policy and procedures related to assigned tasks.
  • Ensure attention to detail in all tasks.
  • Builds positive relationships with internal and external clients by valuing other's feelings and rights in both words and actions, and embracing other's unique beliefs, backgrounds, and perspectives.
  • Takes initiative in resolving card-related challenges and improving client experience.

  • Seeks to implement and leverage services and technologies that create efficiencies.

  • Completes assigned duties.
  • Completes duties independently and demonstrates the ability to manage other tasks with minimal oversight.

  • Seeks cross functional learning opportunities to enhance card expertise and deepen general banking understanding.
