About The Position

Collaborates with District staff, parents and students to identify high risk students for future prevention services. May visit students and parents in the home to determine cause for absenteeism, academic or discipline problems. Monitors these students as they enter and go through school to determine impact of prevention activities.

Requirements

• Valid Arizona Teaching Certificate
• Valid Arizona IVP fingerprint clearance card
• Five years teaching experience in corresponding grade level.
• Verbal & Written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions.
• Valid Driver's license (Arizona Driver’s License required within 30 days of hire)
• MVReport – showing no more than the allowable points against Driver’s License
• Reliable mode of personal transportation with evidence of insurance compliance greater than or equal to the state required minimum for car insurance.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s Degree in Educational Administration, Curriculum & Instruction or related field
• Five years teaching experience in the appropriate grade level for the position being filled
• Demonstrated success in engaging African American and Latino students
• Bilingual (Spanish) Endorsement

Benefits

• Probationary Contracts will be issued for any contingent Certifications, Positions that are 0.6 FTE or less, and certified employees within their first three years with the District.
