About The Position
Effectively manage the learning environment to prepare lesson plans, instruct students, evaluate and monitor students’ performance in order to advance student achievement. Understand and appreciate diversity. Work collaboratively with a team to plan instruction. Demonstrate commitment to continuous learning.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- Valid Arizona Teaching Certificate
- Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Experience with communicating with school personnel, students parent and the community
- Experience working with diverse populations including students with linguestic and cultural differences
- Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization (after hire)
- Valid Driver's License
- Reliable mode of personal transportation with evidence of insurance compliance greater than or equal to the state required minimum for car insurance (after hire)
Nice To Haves
- Master's Degree
- 5 years teaching experience in content area (Highly Qualified Preferred ELA)
- 3 years of experience using culturally relevant framework
- 3 years of instructional coaching experience
- Coursework in African American and/or Mexican American students at the middle school and high school levels
- Experience in developing curriculum implementation, inquiry-based learning, and professional development
- Bilingual: Spanish
