About The Position

The Dean of Students is responsible for providing leadership in planning, implementing, and evaluating a comprehensive student affairs program. These programs and services include counseling and disability services, management of the residence halls and residential curriculum, student life (engagement activities & organizations), Title IX, state and federal compliance, TRiO, and discipline/community standards. The Dean also leads the College’s new student onboarding, transition, first-year experience, and persistence initiatives. The Dean of Students is a member of the Student Services Council, and may be appointed to other College governance committees as assigned. The Dean of Students aids the Vice President of Access, Completion, and Transfer (VPACT) in whatever capacity is deemed necessary by the VPACT. Requirements

  • Master's degree from any regionally accredited institution.
  • A minimum of five years of full-time administrative experience in a relevant education setting.
  • Demonstrated experience in student conduct administration.
  • Demonstrated experience in crisis response.
  • Demonstrated experience in student engagement and retention initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience in supervision of student affairs functional areas.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the College’s new student onboarding, transition, first-year experience, and persistence initiatives.
  • Serve as a member of the Student Services Council.
  • May be appointed to other College governance committees.
  • Aid the Vice President of Access, Completion, and Transfer (VPACT) as deemed necessary.
