About The Position

Diamond Jo Casino is looking for awesome people to join their team as a Dealer Trainee. This is an excellent opportunity to begin an exciting career in the casino industry by attending a free Dealer School program. The school will teach you how to deal Blackjack and provide a start in a fun and dynamic job. Candidates are expected to attend all dealer school classes, which are generally 2-3 weeks long, Monday-Thursday. School times and days will be scheduled based on the best availability for the most qualified candidates. While dealer school classes are unpaid, a sign-on bonus is offered. There may be opportunities to work in other departments during the school if immediate work is needed. The position is available for both Full Time (40 hours) and Part Time (20-30 hours) candidates. Dealers have an earning potential of $25+ per hour, including tips.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Must be able to pass a timed, basic math test (addition/subtraction/multiplication).
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an Iowa Gaming License.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to see, hear, speak English, grasp, reach and bend.
  • Must be able to quickly and accurately perform basic mathematical functions and calculate payouts mentally.
  • Must be an awesome person and excited to work with a WINNING team!
