About The Position

Recognized as a senior contributor and thought leader supporting large and complex customer engagements in the China market. Influences deal strategy to address unique commercial, regulatory, and customer ecosystem dynamics specific to China. Proactively identifies and resolves highly complex issues impacting revenue, risk, and long‑term customer relationships. Partners closely with regional leadership to align large order strategy with China market conditions while ensuring compliance with global corporate requirements. The number and complexity of Large Order deals in China are increasing, driven by strategic domestic customers, evolving regulatory requirements, and localized competition and business practices. This role supports the end‑to‑end Large Order business process for China‑based customers and joint ventures. The position works closely with China Account Teams, regional Business Units, AGS, Finance, Legal, Trade Compliance, and global stakeholders to deliver competitive, compliant, and executable deals.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of Applied Materials order management processes, with experience supporting China customers
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and complex deal analytics
  • Working knowledge of SAP CRM and Salesforce.com
  • Familiarity with China commercial practices, customer procurement models, and negotiation dynamics
  • Experience working with Legal and Compliance teams on China regulatory and trade requirements
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively across cultures
  • Ability to influence without authority across regional and global organizations
  • Fluency in Mandarin preferred
  • Operate effectively within a global workforce spanning China and global time zones
  • Comfortable working under pressure with high‑visibility China customer engagements
  • Demonstrates cultural awareness, patience, and professionalism when engaging China customers

Responsibilities

  • Drive the Large Order business process with specific ownership for China customer engagements
  • Drive the China Fast Track Large Order process to ensure proper alignment and documentation
  • Lead and facilitate China‑focused Large Order Council (LOC) meetings, accounting for regional decision‑making cadence
  • Review Large Order worksheets for accuracy, localization, and alignment with China customer requirements
  • Drive closure of commercial and technical disconnects between China Account Teams, regional BUs, and global stakeholders
  • Partner with regional and global Finance teams on pricing, cost modeling, FX, tax, and payment structure considerations
  • Coordinate with ORCA and regional teams on quarterly RAR requirements and China‑specific risk items
  • Work with Legal and Trade Compliance on China contract terms, local regulations, export controls, and data requirements
  • Maintain ownership and quarterly updates of the China large order pipeline
  • Provide project management for Large Order CIPs with China customer impact
  • Collaborate with GIS and regional teams to close China‑specific Business Review Documents (BRDs)
  • Manage UAT activities with consideration for China user environments and data restrictions
  • Act as Salesforce.com focal point for China large order data accuracy and governance
  • Support Tableau and dashboard needs, including China‑specific reporting, access control, and data sensitivity
