About The Position

The Sourcing Leader is responsible for daily sourcing activities at an assigned manufacturing or distribution center. The role directs Sourcing Specialists, ensures compliance with sourcing procedures, and ensures transactions are made according to agreed terms and conditions. It reports to the Supply Chain Manager for the assigned location. The position owns the sourcing plan for purchased items and works with planning and production teams to align supply. It monitors sourcing performance, improves lead times, reduces costs, supports on-time delivery, and contributes to continuous improvement within the Supply Chain department. The role also supports purchasing with invoice discrepancies and participates in financial and inventory reviews. SLB New Energy & Industrial’s Data Center Infrastructure Solutions team delivers modular, scalable data center solutions intended to accelerate deployment, reduce risk, and support growth in AI and cloud technologies.

Requirements

Minimum of four years’ experience in a purchasing or sourcing leadership role.
Demonstrated commitment to making and communicating a culture of positive change throughout the supply chain organization.
Problem-solving skills.
Experience leading teams in supply chain activities.
Strong working knowledge of ERP systems, such as SAP.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or supply chain.
Continuous process improvement mindset, including experience with Lean / Six Sigma.

Responsibilities

Execute and own the sourcing plan for purchased items within assigned sourcing groups.
Participate in planning reviews and align supply with planning and production teams.
Enforce and monitor sourcing procedures.
Set action plans to improve lead time, reduce cost, and improve on-time delivery.
Review and maintain open sourcing assignments from initial requirement through source-list and contract generation.
Manage past-due sourcing assignments.
Review and recommend material master settings for buy items.
Review and control non-BOM sourcing events, ensuring correct approvals and tracking actual expenditure against plan.
Report sourcing statistics to the Supply Chain Manager.
Participate in regular financial and inventory reviews with the Supply Chain Manager.
Ensure the center adheres to Schlumberger-approved supplier agreements and contracts.
Support the purchasing function in resolving invoice discrepancies.
Implement continuous improvement activities within the Supply Chain department.
Deliver a top-performing workforce.
Implement actions to continuously reduce wasted time, money, and resources.
Comply with Schlumberger and local procedures applicable to the job function.
Perform other duties as directed by the manager.
