About The Position

The Sourcing Specialist handles daily sourcing activities in a manufacturing or distribution center, helping ensure compliance with sourcing procedures and that transactions follow agreed terms and conditions. The role reports to the Sourcing Leader for the assigned location and supports the Data Center Infrastructure Solutions team within SLB New Energy & Industrial.

Requirements

Equivalent minimum of two years' experience in a purchasing or sourcing role.
Demonstrated commitment to making and communicating a culture of positive change throughout the supply chain organization.
Problem-solving skills.
Continuous process improvement mindset, including experience with Lean or Six Sigma.
Strong working knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP.

Responsibilities

Prepare requests for quotation (RFQ), information (RFI), and proposals (RFP) in the system as directed by facility supply chain leadership.
Generate sourcing projects and track them in systems such as SAP, Ariba, and Excel.
Identify suitable suppliers to participate in sourcing project tenders.
Ensure RFQs, RFIs, and RFPs reflect the company's required terms and conditions.
Track outstanding requests by assigned project.
Send appropriate supporting documents to suppliers.
Receive and catalog supplier tender results, considering points of origin and destination to calculate applicable additional costs of ownership.
Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers to meet quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
Execute contract negotiation and development in coordination with the Sourcing Leader and Contract Legal teams.
Work with business-line sourcing and management teams to help guarantee portfolio supply.
Evaluate current and prospective suppliers through reviews, site visits, and audits with supplier quality teams, assessing supply capability, on-time delivery, quality, and service.
Follow sourcing procedures.
Identify opportunities to improve lead time, reduce costs, and improve on-time delivery.
Support the local facility quality control department by communicating supplier dispositions of deviation reports arising during tendering activities.
Ensure adherence to SLB-approved supplier agreements and contracts.
Support purchasing and warehouse functions in resolving supplier discrepancies.
Take actions to continuously reduce wasted time, money, and resources.
Comply with Schlumberger and local procedures applicable to the job function.
Perform other duties as directed by the manager.
