About The Position

SLB is seeking an experienced DCN Project Engineer to lead the design, engineering, and delivery of modular data center infrastructure projects. This is a hands-on engineering leadership role focused on mechanical and piping systems within large-scale data centers and industrial facilities. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients to drive complex projects from concept through completion, shaping the future of mission-critical infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline with significant mechanical engineering experience.
  • Minimum 7 years of hands-on design and engineering experience in industrial facilities or data centers.
  • Expertise in mechanical, piping, and fire suppression systems.
  • Demonstrated project leadership and client-facing skills.
  • Proficiency with SolidWorks, Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, BIM 360, and Navisworks.
  • Deep knowledge of engineering codes, standards, and regulations (AISI, ANSI, ASME B&PV, B31.3, ASTM, AWS, IBC, MFMA, MSS, OSHA, NACE, NFPA, PFI).
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and multitasking abilities.
  • Fluent English communication (written and verbal).
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Willingness to travel as required.

  • Experience supporting construction and commissioning of large infrastructure projects.

  • Familiarity with selection of coatings, mounting systems, and installation methods.

Responsibilities

  • Take technical ownership of modular data center projects, supporting the Engineering Manager and acting as a client-facing expert.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Project Management, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and other departments for seamless project delivery.
  • Lead technical reviews, approve engineering drawings, and ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Develop engineering scopes of work, execution plans, and detailed project schedules.
  • Oversee the creation and review of equipment lists, valve lists, piping layouts, and mechanical equipment data sheets.
  • Prepare technical requisitions for mechanical systems and equipment, supporting design of piping and fire protection systems.
  • Provide technical guidance to internal teams, onboard new engineers, and support project growth.
  • Serve as the main technical point of contact for clients, participating in design reviews, site visits, and commissioning.
  • Manage project documentation, engineering changes, and construction support activities.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve reliability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness for clients.
