About The Position

The DC Material Handler position is for Shift 985, with a working schedule of Monday & Tuesday from 3:30pm to 11:30pm, and Saturday & Sunday from 6:00am to 6:00pm. The hourly wage for this position is $27.50 plus shift premiums. This role is based at our Fostoria, OH facility, where we manufacture products such as A&H Baking Soda, A&H Cat Litter, and A&H Unit Dose Detergent.

Requirements

Minimum of a High School Diploma / GED is required.
Minimum of six months of forklift experience.
Working knowledge of material handling equipment.
Lift 50 pounds consistently.
Familiar with the plant food safety program and basic HACCP principles.
Use safe operating procedures and judgment.
Operate forklift in a safe and timely manner.
Follow all facility rules to maintain quality and integrity of both raw materials and finished products.

WMS experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Load and unload finished goods, stock transfer orders, and transfers to Church & Dwight customers and outside Distribution Centers.
Build pick pallets to pick list.
Operate sit down, stand up and pallet riders proficiently.
Load and unload trailers and containers accurately and to specification.
Maintain necessary paperwork with a high degree of accuracy.
Perform daily preventive maintenance inspections.
Maintain a clean department by sweeping and dumping trash at the end of each shift.
Work with Church & Dwight carriers and customers in a highly professional manner.
Be proficient in WMS to load or unload trucks in a timely manner.
Read and understand the pick list by quantity, product type, lot codes, and product version codes to fill the customer’s order.
Operate stretch wrapper to secure load on pallet.
Familiar with the plant food safety program and basic HACCP principles.
Work any shift during the week as well as weekends.
Use safe operating procedures and judgment.
Operate forklift in a safe and timely manner.
Follow all facility rules to maintain quality and integrity of both raw materials and finished products.
Lift 50 pounds consistently.
Operate forklift in a safe and timely manner.
Drive a forklift to retrieve and move pallets.
Perform order picking using vocollect system for a whole shift, lifting items weighing up to 44 lbs.
Walk around the facility throughout the shift.
Repalletize items for consolidation or to replace a broken pallet.
