About The Position
Ferguson Enterprises is hiring a second-shift DC General Warehouse Associate who operates equipment and supports warehouse operations. The role works from 4:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., with overtime as needed. The stated starting rate is $24.50 per hour, with the opportunity to earn up to $5.50 more per hour based on individual performance. The posting also describes the opportunity to work with new equipment in a collaborative and inclusive environment. The associate receives and registers inbound shipments, performs general warehouse duties to facilitate the flow of goods, picks and packs goods for dispatch, and helps resolve orders that cannot be dispatched or are on hold by coordinating with other departments. The role also supports site management with health, safety, and environmental compliance documentation and records, follows company policies and procedures, and maintains regular, reliable attendance.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent experience.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely and effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
Nice To Haves
- Previous warehouse experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Ensure inbound shipments are received and registered accurately.
- Perform general warehouse duties that facilitate the flow of goods.
- Assist site management with compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental legislation, including completing required documentation and records.
- Resolve orders that cannot be dispatched or are on hold by liaising with other departments.
- Pick and pack goods ready for dispatch.
- Adhere to company compliance and Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) policies, procedures, and requirements.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
