About The Position

Join DC Fray Part-Time as a Coordinator/Host! This role is for someone who brings energy, is outgoing, reliable, and thrives in social environments. You should have a passion for softball and other sports, whether you've played, coached, or reffed. The ideal candidate takes initiative, solves problems on the fly, and keeps things moving, remaining calm in chaotic situations and revitalizing the vibe when needed. As a Coordinator/Host, your mission is to make league night the best night of the week, acting as the heartbeat of the experience on and off the field. You will set the tone, bring the energy, and represent United Fray. This includes hyping up players, running smooth games, and fostering a social scene post-game, creating fun traditions and the perfect game-night vibe.

Requirements

Commit to a full season (7–8 weeks depending on league)
Arrive 20 minutes early to every game
Stick around and engage with players post-game (especially at sponsor bars)
Use your smartphone to update scores in real time
Create a welcoming, organized, and high-energy environment
Attend training + new hire orientation
Experience playing or reffing sports (softball = bonus)
Big energy: creative, engaging, and a little extra
Love building community and connecting with people
Communicate clearly and confidently
Think fast and adapt even faster
Lead with positivity and inclusivity
Represent the brand wherever you go

Ref certifications are a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

Create a fun, inclusive, high-energy environment for all players
Run league operations: Set up & break down fields/locations
Ref games
Track scores and manage logistics
Transport equipment when needed
Be the go-to person on-site for communication, problem-solving, and keeping things flowing
Act as the face of DC Fray in your community
Capture and share the fun (tag us, show us, be part of the story)
Send 1 weekly league email (Coordinators)
Manage equipment bags throughout the season (When needed) (Coordinators)
