About The Position

We are seeking an experienced DB Architect with a strong background in database migrations, particularly in replatforming scenarios (e.g., Oracle to PostgreSQL, MSSQL to PostgreSQL). The ideal candidate will have experience architecting migration strategies, leading database teams (DBAs, DB Developers), optimizing database performance through techniques like indexing and partitioning, and transforming existing SQL views and stored procedures from source to target platforms. Proficiency in PostgreSQL RDS on AWS and AWS DMS for both full load and incremental CDC loading is essential. While the role is remote, candidates based in India are preferred. Knowledge of DB2 is a plus, and Oracle DB experience is also acceptable. Experience with both DB2 and PostgreSQL RDS is considered ideal.

Requirements

• Must have DB migration experience in replatforming (e.g., Oracle to PostgreSQL, MSSQL to PostgreSQL).
• Must have architecting experience in DB migration strategy and approach.
• Must have experience leading DB teams (DBA, DB Developer) in optimizing DB performance (indexing, partitioning).
• Must have experience transforming existing SQL views and stored procedures from source to target platform.
• Proficiency in PostgreSQL RDS in AWS.
• Proficiency in AWS DMS as a migration tool for both one-time full load and incremental CDC loading.
• Can be based in India.

Nice To Haves

• DB2 knowledge is good to have.
• Oracle DB experience is fine.
• DB2 experience + PostgreSQL RDS experience is best case.
