Daytime hospitalist, 7 on/7 off
About The Position
Jupiter Medical Center is seeking a physician to provide compassionate, patient-centered care as part of their 24/7 hospitalist medicine team. This role involves leading a team of physicians and advanced practice providers, maintaining accurate medical records, prescribing medication and therapy, recommending lifestyle changes, explaining medical procedures and test results, consulting with other doctors, serving on hospital committees, and contributing to patient satisfaction and business development. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the physician practice environment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced setting.
Requirements
- MD or DO
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Knowledge of computer systems and applications to include but not limited to EPIC
- Board Certified
- Understanding of physician practice environment
- Excellent communication skills at all levels
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Annual Joint Commission mandatory education requirements, in-service and health requirements including attendance at new employee orientation
- TB/PPD Surveillance Program
- Maintenance of required professional licensing and/or certification(s).

Responsibilities
- Maintenance of timely, accurate and detailed medical records using EPIC
- Lead a team of physicians, advanced practice providers for a 24/7 hospitalist medicine team
- Prescribes medication or therapy when necessary
- Recommends lifestyle changes as appropriate to improve quality of life
- Explains all medical procedures thoroughly
- Explains test results and provide patients with plan of care details
- Consults with other doctors as appropriate about patient’s specific needs
- Serves on hospital Medical Staff and related committees when requested
- Seeks to improve patient satisfaction scores and team member goals
- Participates in business development and marketing activities to grow the business.
