About The Position

ViaQuest Day & Employment Services provides support to individuals with developmental disabilities in its Day Program. The Day Program Specialist transports individuals between their homes and the Day Program, assists with community outings, and provides direct care and support. The role aims to foster individuals’ independence, choice, and empowerment while ensuring their health and safety. Training is provided in its entirety, and no prior experience is required. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, in Toledo, Ohio, with pay of $17.25 per hour.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license.
• Motor Vehicle Record must meet ViaQuest's Authorized Driver Criteria.
• Ability to push, lift, or carry up to 50 lbs. and climb, balance, kneel, and crouch.

Responsibilities

• Transport individuals between their homes and the Day Program using a company passenger van.
• Transport and assist individuals during community outings.
• Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Foster increased independence, choice, and empowerment while ensuring individuals’ health and safety needs are met.
