About The Position

This role is responsible for advancing the mission and values of Archway Programs by ensuring program resources meet individual needs, promoting ethical conduct, and participating in quality improvement. The position involves assisting Day Program participants with vocational skill development, including coaching, developing volunteer opportunities, and soft skill building. Responsibilities also include safely transporting participants using agency vehicles, collaborating with residential programs for consistent care, and assisting in the development and planning of Day Program activities. Effective communication with participants, families, caregivers, and colleagues is essential. The role supports individuals in building self-esteem and social capital, promoting community inclusion, and developing peer relationships. Participation in Individual Support Plan (ISP) development and meetings is required. The position may involve serving as a shift supervisor, administering medication as directed, and attending all required staff meetings and training. Compliance with Archway Programs policies, DDD/DHS licensing standards, and accurate completion of all required paperwork are mandatory. The role also involves cooperating with licensing, inspection, and investigation processes by relevant state agencies.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • A driver's license valid in their current state of residence.
  • One (1) year of experience in a responsible, paid position.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in quality improvement projects.
  • Assist with the implementation of high-quality individual support plans.
  • Promote and participate in Archway Programs Risk Management and Performance Improvement goals.
  • Assist Day Program participants with vocational skill development, including coaching, developing volunteerism opportunities, and soft skill building.
  • Safely operate agency vans and other vehicles to provide transport for program participants.
  • Collaborate with the residential program as directed to ensure consistent care.
  • Assist in the development and planning of Day Program activities.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with participants, families, caregivers, and colleagues.
  • Work with treatment teams and interested parties to build self-esteem and social capital.
  • Promote inclusion through meaningful community activities.
  • Support individuals in developing friendships and desired relationships.
  • Participate in the development of Individual Support Plans (ISP) and Planning Team meetings.
  • Serve as shift supervisor as assigned.
  • Administer medication to individuals as directed by Supervisor.
  • Attend staff meetings and all required training programs.
  • Cooperate fully with Archway Programs and state agency staff in licensing, inspections, and/or investigations.
  • Complete all required paperwork accurately, including Progress Notes, ISP data, and Daily Activity Logs.
  • Comply with Archway Programs policies and DDD/DHS licensing standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
