About The Position

The Day Program Assistant provides support and companionship to clients to help them live safely and comfortably. The position is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., in Egg Harbor City, New Jersey. Starting pay is $16.25 per hour, with an additional $0.50 per hour for 1–4 years of experience and $1.00 per hour for 5 or more years of experience. Applicants must be able to attend daytime orientation Tuesday through Friday.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid, non-probationary driver’s license with no restrictions or provisions, held for at least one year.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Successful background check clearance.
• Caring attitude and dedication to supporting others.
• Ability and willingness to safely bend and lift to assist clients.
• Ability to attend daytime orientation Tuesday through Friday.

Nice To Haves

• 6 months to 1 year of experience in human services or caregiving is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with bathing, toileting, and personal hygiene.
• Transport clients to appointments using company vehicles.
• Prepare meals and perform light housekeeping.
• Provide wheelchair assistance and support safe transportation.
• Offer companionship and meaningful conversation.
• Ensure the overall safety and well-being of clients.
• Use proper lifting and bending techniques to physically support clients.
