About The Position

Environment Control is hiring a part-time Day Porter for daytime cleaning at a fully staffed office in downtown Wheeling. The schedule is Monday through Friday, starting at 11:00 AM, for four hours per day and 20 hours per week. The role involves cleaning while employees are working and moving throughout the building. Cleaning supplies and training are provided. Pay is $16 per hour, with weekly pay and opportunities to grow within the company.

Requirements

• Dependable and able to stay on task.
• Detail-oriented and takes pride in doing a job well.
• Comfortable working independently.
• Comfortable cleaning in a busy, fully staffed office while employees are working.
• Friendly and professional when working around office employees.
• Reliable transportation.
• Smartphone for scheduling and communication.
• Ability to pass a national background check.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to bend, walk, stand, and perform routine cleaning tasks throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

• Vacuum and mop floors.
• Wipe down and sanitize surfaces.
• Clean and restock restrooms.
• Empty trash and replace liners.
• Keep common areas clean and presentable throughout the day.
• Clean around employees while the office is actively being used.
• Communicate with the supervisor about supplies or issues.
• Follow established cleaning procedures.
