About The Position

The Day Porter assists with daily housekeeping at the Mitch Park YMCA branch. The role maintains cleanliness throughout the facility and grounds, disinfects and cleans high-use areas and equipment, replenishes dispensers, reports facility issues through a supervisor, and develops meaningful and sustainable relationships with members, donors, and volunteers.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to follow directions.
• Ability to use technology to log hours.

Responsibilities

• Pick up litter inside and outside the building as needed.
• Clean mirrors, windows, and glass.
• Empty trash and wipe trash containers.
• Vacuum carpeted areas as needed.
• Disinfect and clean toilets, urinals, and sinks throughout the day and as needed.
• Refill and clean dispensers for soap, sanitizer, paper towels, toilet paper, and other supplies.
• Disinfect and clean showers throughout the day and as needed.
• Disinfect and clean water fountains.
• Disinfect and clean furniture, bleachers, and step stools.
• Dust horizontal and vertical surfaces.
• Dust mop and wet mop to maintain clean flooring surfaces during the day.
• Report facility issues through a supervisor.
• Develop meaningful and sustainable relationships with members, donors, and volunteers.
