We have an exciting opportunity for a Day Porter/Special Projects (Maintenance/Custodian) to join our team of talented professionals within our Southgate Properties team. This position is responsible for assuring that all building systems are functioning properly and in accordance with all applicable health, safety, fire, city and other codes and licensing regulations. S/he will split time between scheduled custodial responsibilities, on-demand services for both environmental services, light maintenance task, event set-ups and basic labor services as needed. Hourly, non-exempt position.

Requirements

At least a High School diploma or GED.
Ability to follow instructions.
Ability to lift/push/pull/carry up to 50 pounds.
Ability to climb ladders, squat, bend and reach repetitively throughout a 7.5-hour shift.
More than 1 year of commercial experience in a custodial or maintenance-oriented position doing custodial tasks, floorcare, installing ceiling tiles, minor plumbing, furniture and fixture assembly and event set-ups.
Must have a current driver’s license.
Must have a good driving record.
Must have reliable transportation to travel swiftly between locations.
Must have computer and organizational skills.
Ability to work both independently and with others.

Nice To Haves

Some coursework or related certifications preferred.
Experience working with maintenance reporting software, climate control and lighting systems.
