About The Position
The Maintenance/Day Porter is responsible for a variety of tasks to ensure the property is well-maintained and operational. This includes changing light bulbs and ballasts, troubleshooting electrical and plumbing issues, performing painting and drywall repairs, and conducting preventive maintenance routines. The role also involves groundskeeping and requires the ability to use various maintenance and cleaning equipment.
Requirements
- Able to use maintenance equipment and tools used in the operation of the property operation (ladders, power tools)
- Able to use cleaning equipment (pressure washer, blower, scrubber, vacuum)
- Minor carpentry and woodworking
- Groundskeeping basics (parking bumper replacement, minor landscaping)
- Soft Skills: Reliable, strong work ethic, professional appearance, friendly demeanor, safety awareness, attention to detail
Responsibilities
- Change light bulbs and ballast, as needed
- Electrical troubleshooting (outlets, lighting, breakers)
- Basic plumbing troubleshooting (leaks, clogs, toilet repair, water shutoff)
- Painting, patching, and drywall repair
- Preventive maintenance routines
