About The Position

The Salvation Army’s Lowell Corps. is hiring (2) Day Camp Group Leaders to work with the Day Camp Director to conduct in-house Summer Day Camp program. This is a part-time, non-exempt position working 30 hours per week from July 21st – 26th and August 4th – 7th. The role requires a keen interest and sincere appreciation for children, the ability to plan, prepare and implement day-to-day activities, and lead devotional time on a rotation basis. Requirements

DPH qualified and/or BA degree in Early Childhood Education or have a Child Development Associate.
First Aid and CPR training.
Physical stamina.
Ability to relate well with children and adults.
Minimum of six months experience working or volunteering with school age children.
Experience with Christian Education Programs for school age children such as Sunday School or Vacation Bible Study.
Must have a keen interest and sincere appreciation for children.
Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

Work with the Day Camp Director to conduct in-house Summer Day Camp program.
Plan, prepare and implement the day-to-day activities.
Lead devotional time on a rotation basis.
