About The Position

The Salvation Army is seeking a Day Camp Driver to transport adults and children of all ages for Corps Programs, field trips, and other assigned activities. This role is crucial for ensuring safe and reliable transportation for program participants.

Requirements

• Over 18 Years Old
• Can Follow Instructions
• Driving Test and Clean MVR check
• Minimum high school graduate or equivalent.
• Have valid CA driver license-Class B passengers.
• Must pass Fleet Safety Test of the Salvation Army.
• Submit a copy of the DMV driving record with less than two (2) violations (moving or accident) in the last 12 months or a DUI in the last 18 months.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in maintenance.
• Ability to read, write and speak both English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Pick up and drop off Day Camp/VBS kids.
• Drive kids to field trips during summer camp or as required.
• Pick up people frequently for programs including Sunday meetings, and transport people to camp.
• Keep the emergency equipment in each vehicle.
• Maintain records of mileage and passengers for transportation vans.
• Ensure vans are ready for inspection from HWY Patrol or CHP inspection.
• Maintain vehicles clean.
