About The Position
The Day Bagger provides friendly, courteous customer service by bagging purchases, placing filled bags in carts, and carrying purchases to customers’ cars. The role also includes retrieving carts, maintaining cleanliness, stocking bags, returning merchandise to shelves, and assisting with price verification. Regular, reliable attendance is an essential function. Training is provided at the store level. Other duties may be assigned at the discretion of store management. The position requires working on one’s feet for an entire 4–8-hour shift and being able to work outside in seasonal weather. Physical demands include bending, stooping, pushing 3 to 5 carts at a time, and lifting up to 50 pounds. For internal candidates, six months of employment with Schnucks is preferred for Store/Facility Teammates, and one year is preferred for Store Support Center Teammates. Candidates must be in good standing and, if invited to interview, have manager approval based on performance.

- For internal Store Support Center Teammates, a minimum of one year of employment with Schnucks is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide friendly and courteous service to customers.
- Maintain regular, reliable attendance.
- Place customers’ purchases into bags and place filled bags in carts.
- Carry customers’ purchases to their cars.
- Retrieve carts from the parking lot.
- Pick up paper and debris in the store, parking lot, and carts.
- Stock bags on check stands.
- Empty trash from check stands and the service center.
- Sweep and mop floors.
- Return merchandise left at checkout to shelves.
- Read and understand shelf tags.
- Verify merchandise prices.
- Perform other duties as assigned at the discretion of store management.
