About The Position

XTX Markets is a leading algorithmic trading firm that utilizes advanced machine learning technology to forecast financial instruments across various markets. The firm trades a significant volume daily and employs over 250 people globally. XTX Markets invests heavily in computational resources, including a large GPU research cluster and extensive storage, and is building a new datacenter in Finland. This role establishes a new Datacenter Operations function in New York, focusing on the physical infrastructure of XTX's datacenter operations, particularly in the Americas.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in datacenters or infrastructure operations.
Hands-on experience with switches/routers and low-latency network design.
Proven experience building/operating low-latency trading infrastructure and Americas colocation projects.
Network routing knowledge: BGP, OSPF, and multicast routing (implementation and troubleshooting).
Comfortable working inside servers: component installs, PCIe cards, firmware updates, and hardware diagnostics.
Hands-on experience with fibre optics, transceivers (SFP/SFP+/QSFP/DWDM) and optical networking fundamentals.
Strong change management, documentation, and verification discipline.
Excellent communication skills for vendor coordination, exchange/Broker integration, and remote-hands instruction.
Flexibility to work weekends (with time off in lieu provided) or a willingness to work an alternative schedule, such as Tuesday through Saturday.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Cisco, Mellanox, and Arista.
Experience with Dell servers.

Responsibilities

Lead and execute the deployment of physical infrastructure in Americas datacenters, and support datacenter operations globally.
Supervise and execute large projects such as colocation setup and expansions, and equipment relocation.
Maintain datacenters by replacing failed components.
Install and maintain a well-ordered datacenter infrastructure, including structured cabling, and monitor/expand power, space, and cooling capacity.
Perform server integration work, hardware refreshes, and failed component replacements.
Coordinate with third parties for infrastructure support.
Produce and maintain operational runbooks, install guides, and test plans; review and approve changes.
Assist with inventory and logistics tasks to support deployments.
