Requirements

• One year as an Applications Developer 1 or Information Technology Generalist 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration)
• Four years of information technology experience that includes one year in the analysis, design, and maintenance of databases in overall support of database administration or in the analysis and design in overall support of data administration
• Two years of information technology experience that includes one year in the analysis, design, and maintenance of databases in overall support of database administration or in the analysis and design in overall support of data administration, and an associate’s degree in any information technology field
• A bachelor's degree in any information technology field
• One or more years of full-time professional experience with Linux operating systems
• One or more years of full-time professional experience with Oracle database administration
• One or more years of full-time professional experience with ERwin Data Modeler software
• Meet the PA residency requirement
• Be able to perform essential job functions
• Pass a background investigation
• Meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned projects and assist with maintaining stable and secure database environments
• Create and use scripts and tools that improve database performance and operations across platforms
• Address system problems and assist with emergency support when needed
• Monitor logs, review errors, and support processes that protect data accuracy and structure
• Review data models and diagrams to support clear standards, storage needs and design changes
• Track system performance and usage to prevent problems and support reliable service
