About The Position

CADRE is seeking a Database Administrator (DBA) to support national security missions in Northern Virginia. The position has flexible core hours and involves implementing, modifying, and deploying software that affects mission-critical networks and systems, as well as determining how data is organized and stored. The role also requires understanding the database platform, adding users, and planning and coordinating security measures, with knowledge of data integrity, backup systems, and database security. The DBA performs server and storage capacity management and planning for complex, critical systems; tunes server performance; monitors system files and manages system data to maintain efficiency; and studies requirements to determine server installation methods and procedures. The position also supports object-definition evaluation, user inquiries, system operations, hardware and software installation and minor repairs, system diagnostics, capacity testing, and equipment preparation. The DBA may perform other duties as assigned by project management.
