Data Warehouse Consultant

This role is for an experienced individual with 5-8 years of knowledge in MS SQL Data Warehousing (AZURE). The main responsibility of this role is to deliver data (SSIS) (SSAS) and reporting (SSRS) across the business. The role involves building, maintaining, and enhancing core business data entities, while also driving improvements in warehousing solutions. The ideal candidate should have expertise in developing and deploying systems to support business intelligence, reporting, data warehouse, and integration with enterprise applications. They should also have experience with custom code and custom assembly in SSIS, SSAS, and SSRS. Additionally, knowledge of MS Azure or any other cloud technology is a plus.

• Develop and deploy systems to support business intelligence, reporting, data warehouse, and integration with enterprise applications
• Implement user access controls and data security measures
• Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc.
• Anticipate opportunities for improvement and identify alternate solutions
• Perform system testing and fix defects identified during testing
• Assist in coordinating efforts with management and end-users to evaluate the business and deliver effective business intelligence and reporting solutions
• Experience with custom code and custom assembly in SSIS, SSAS, and SSRS
• Develop and test database scripts, stored procedures, triggers, functions, SSIS packages, and other back-end processes
• Assist with tabular and multidimensional modeling and the development of the Enterprise Data Warehouse
• Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports
• Create and maintain documentation of processes, reports, applications, and procedures
• Understand and implement data warehouse development in multi-platform environments
• Understand data mining in a data warehouse environment, including data design, database architecture, metadata, and repository creation
• Develop and update technical documentation
• Working knowledge of MS Azure or any other cloud technology is nice to have
• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience preferred
• Prior experience with Data Warehousing
• 4 to 8 years working with an OLAP database (SQL Server preferred)
• 5 to 8 years working with SSIS, SSAS, and SSRS
• Proven abilities to take initiative and be innovative
