Data Warehouse Administrator

The job overview for this position is to manage and maintain SQL Server databases, ensuring high levels of performance, availability, sustainability, and security. The SQL Server DBA will be responsible for analyzing and resolving issues in real time, providing suggestions for solutions, and automating regular processes. Additionally, they will assist developers with query tuning and schema refinement, perform scheduled maintenance, and provide 24x7 support for critical production systems. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a SQL Server Database Administrator and excellent knowledge of SSIS, data backup, recovery, security, integrity, and SQL are required.

• Manage SQL Server databases
• Configure and maintain database servers and processes
• Monitor database performance, implement changes and apply new patches and versions when required
• Ensure high levels of performance, availability, sustainability, and security
• Analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time
• Provide suggestions for solutions, use high-speed transaction recovery techniques, and backup data
• Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes
• Assist developers with query tuning and schema refinement
• Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours
• Minimize database downtime and manage parameters to provide fast query responses
• Perform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy, and integrity
• Determine, enforce, and document database policies, procedures, and standards
• Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems

• Min 5 years of proven working experience as a SQL Server Database Administrator
• Hands-on experience with database standards and end user applications
• Excellent knowledge of SSIS, data backup, recovery, security, integrity and SQL
• Critical thinker and problem-solving skills

• Familiarity with programming languages
• Problem-solving skills and ability to think algorithmically
• BSC degree in a computer discipline or relevant certification
