About The Position

The Data Security Analyst supports and executes complex Data Security projects and company-wide initiatives, delivering results within established scope, timelines, and budgets. The role supports the day-to-day operation of Guidehouse Information Protection security systems and helps protect Guidehouse and client data in alignment with applicable standards and regulations, including NIST SP 800-171, NIST SP 800-53, ISO 27001, ISO 20000, HIPAA, and HITRUST. The analyst assists with implementation and management of data loss prevention solutions, monitors organizational data-sharing activities, and supports identification, classification, and management of sensitive information. The role also participates in investigations, documents processes and compliance activities, prepares reports for management, collaborates with IT and security teams, and responds to employee requests and issues involving Data Security services. The position reports directly to the Data Security Associate Director.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree and 2–4 years of prior relevant experience, or 6 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
United States citizenship.
Ability to work East Coast US business hours.
Basic understanding of data loss prevention (DLP) technologies, encryption methods, and secure file transfer protocols.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
Working knowledge of security tools and technologies related to DLP and data protection.
Experience with cloud environments, network security, and information security principles.
Ability to manage many concurrent and changing priorities.

Nice To Haves

Relevant certifications, such as CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Information Security Administrator Associate, or ITILv4.
Experience with DLP solutions such as Digital Guardian, Microsoft Purview, Forcepoint, or Symantec.
Experience with data classification solutions such as Microsoft Purview, Varonis, Amazon Macie, Fortra, or Netwrix.
Experience with cryptographic capabilities such as S/MIME certificates, secrets, or data encryption keys.
Experience processing tickets in platforms such as BMC or ServiceNow.

Responsibilities

Support and execute complex Data Security projects and company-wide initiatives within established scope, timelines, and budgets.
Troubleshoot issues and identify opportunities to improve Data Security services, applying technical knowledge, critical thinking, and sound judgment.
Support day-to-day operations of Guidehouse Information Protection security systems and help protect Guidehouse and client data in alignment with applicable standards and requirements.
Support secure handling of information transmitted through approved electronic transfer methods.
Assist in implementing and managing data loss prevention (DLP) solutions to protect sensitive data from unauthorized access and exfiltration.
Monitor and analyze organizational data-sharing activities for compliance with security policies and regulations.
Support the identification, classification, and management of sensitive information.
Participate in data loss prevention investigations.
Maintain accurate documentation of processes, investigations, and compliance activities, and prepare reports for management review.
Collaborate with IT and security teams to enhance the overall security posture and align with organizational goals.
Interact with employees to receive requests, triage, troubleshoot, and resolve security issues related to Data Security services.
