About The Position

The Lead Data Scientist will advance the organization’s analytics and data science capabilities. This role hires and manages a team of data scientists delivering scalable machine learning and advanced analytics solutions across the organization, working closely with IT, executive, and product teams to integrate solutions into enterprise-scale systems. The Lead partners with business stakeholders to ideate and prioritize team initiatives and communicates the methods and impact of the work.

Requirements

• 10 years of demonstrated business impact through conceiving, delivering, and scaling machine learning and other analytic approaches, including machine learning and big data.
• At least 2 years managing and mentoring data scientists and analysts.
• 2 years of consulting or leadership experience as a data scientist.
• Excellent verbal and written English skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Experience working on an Agile development team.

Responsibilities

• Apply data science, data engineering, and statistical best practices to develop appropriate solutions.
• Conduct advanced analysis of company customer and business data.
• Guide solutions through the full lifecycle: problem definition, ideation, data sourcing, experimentation, development, deployment, and monitoring.
• Manage and mentor data scientists, providing technical oversight and supporting their development and a positive, learning-oriented team environment while ensuring quality and performance.
• Oversee team management, model development, deployment, and evaluation.
• Meet with and advise stakeholders.
• Solve operational challenges with dependent business units.
• Source, clean, and understand data in collaboration with the data management group.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
