About The Position

The Lead Data Scientist will advance the organization’s analytics and data science capabilities by hiring and managing a team of data scientists who deliver scalable machine learning and advanced analytics solutions across the organization. The role works closely with IT, executive, and product teams to integrate these solutions into enterprise-scale applications. The Lead also works with business stakeholders to ideate and prioritize team initiatives and communicate the methods and their impact.

Requirements

• 10 years of demonstrated business impact through the conception, delivery, and scaling of machine learning and other analytic approaches, including machine learning and big data.
• At least 2 years managing and mentoring other data scientists and analysts.
• At least 2 years of consulting or leadership experience as a data scientist.
• Excellent verbal and written English skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Experience working on an Agile development team.

Responsibilities

• Apply data science, data engineering, and statistical best practices to develop appropriate solutions.
• Conduct advanced analysis of the company’s customer and business data.
• Guide solutions through the full lifecycle: problem definition, ideation, data sourcing, experimentation, development, deployment, and monitoring.
• Manage and mentor data scientists, providing technical oversight, supporting their development, fostering a positive learning environment, and ensuring work meets quality and performance expectations.
• Oversee team management and work.
• Develop, deploy, and evaluate models.
• Meet with and advise stakeholders.
• Solve operational challenges with dependent business units.
• Source, clean, and understand data in collaboration with the data management group.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
