About The Position

Microsoft Frontier Co. is a customer outcome-driven organization that brings together industry expertise, strategic partnerships, and engineering. Its teams work alongside customers to co-design, deploy, and continuously improve AI systems that deliver measurable, customer-defined outcomes. As a Data Science PhD Forward Deployed Engineer Intern, you will work with real-world datasets to develop scalable, production-ready solutions and run experiments that inform business strategy and customer outcomes. You will collaborate with global organizations across industries, applying advances in artificial intelligence and data science to solve problems at scale. You will develop models, evaluate results, and translate evidence into decisions supporting measurable business outcomes, partnering with engineers, product managers, and domain experts throughout the lifecycle from data discovery through deployed solutions. Microsoft interns work on real-world projects with teams around the world and are empowered to build community, explore their passions, and pursue their goals. Participation in this internship does not guarantee future employment. Successful interns may be considered for full-time opportunities, but Microsoft states it is unable to sponsor work visas for full-time positions associated with this internship due to the nature of the role's job duties.
