Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Minimum of five years related work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares both ongoing and ad-hoc reports of moderate to high complexity to support business goals and objectives.
  • Acquires and compiles structured and unstructured data and verifies its quality, accuracy and reasonableness.
  • Engages with internal partners to understand business strategy, questions, and goals.
  • Develops business acumen and is considered a subject matter expert for aligned business area.
  • Anticipates reporting needs and is actively aware of business decisions in aligned business area.
  • Stays abreast of advancements in reporting technology and general trends in their aligned business area.
  • Communicates results of reports to business partners when required.
  • Prepares and delivers visualizations and internal presentations.
  • Trains users on reporting tools.
  • Identifies opportunities to standardize, scale, or automate complex report requests.
  • Develops enhancements to reports and existing processes; assists with complicated changes escalated from lower levels.
  • Designs and writes ad hoc reporting as needed.
  • Validates analytical techniques employed by other specialists.
  • Reviews queries for performance issues, making changes as needed.
  • Participates in the design and development of the system, as well as creation of user documentation.
  • May conduct initial exploratory or descriptive analytics using data generated from queries.
  • Develops, owns and manages recurring reporting processes.
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
