About The Position

In this role, you'll be responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and consistency of data across our systems. You’ll work closely with data engineers, business analysts, and stakeholders to identify data issues, implement controls, and continuously improve data quality processes. This role focuses on business data quality, governance, and analysis and is not an IT Quality Assurance (QA) or software testing position. Under direct supervision and at times independently, responsible to: Assist in research and fact-finding to develop or modify a database, data reporting tools for data analytics or other data development projects. Assist in preparing specifications. Assist in analyzing, designing, coding, testing, debugging, documenting, and maintaining assigned area of specialization. Perform basic analysis, reporting, troubleshooting and root cause analysis. Other duties as assigned or required.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Proven experience in a data quality, data analysis, or data governance role.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL.
  • Proficiency in data profiling tools.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Recent graduate of a related degree or certification program; or a demonstrable skill, aptitude or ability; or some prior, related work experience resulting in the ability to fulfill the entry-level responsibilities of the position.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday.

  • Informatica or Snowflake Data Quality application experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in research and fact-finding to develop or modify a database, data reporting tools for data analytics or other data development projects.
  • Assist in preparing specifications.
  • Assist in analyzing, designing, coding, testing, debugging, documenting, and maintaining assigned area of specialization.
  • Perform basic analysis, reporting, troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
  • Monitor and assess data quality through audits, validation techniques, and reconciliation processes.
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve data anomalies and issues.
  • Develop and maintain data quality dashboards and reports.
  • Develop and maintain Business Intelligence dashboards and reports that support key business decision making.
  • Collaborate with IT and business teams to define data quality rules and standards.
  • Establish root cause analysis for recurring data issues and recommend preventative solutions.
  • Support data governance initiatives and contribute to the development of best practices.
  • Document procedures and ensure compliance with data regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain consistent attendance, which may include attendance at after-hour Company events.
  • Accept supervision.
  • Foster, develop and maintain professional and collaborative working relationships.
  • Interact effectively and professionally with all levels of management, employees and customers by email, phone, video conferences and in person.
  • Represent the company in a personable, positive, and professional manner.
  • Work overtime as requested and approved by supervisor.
