Data QA Analyst

Practifi
•$78,000 - $95,000•Remote

About The Position

Practifi is hiring a Data QA Analyst to own data migration quality across client onboarding engagements. The role will validate migrated data against each client's Data Mapping Document, identify and document issues, coordinate fixes with engineering, retest corrected data, and provide quality metrics and a final QA sign-off report before go-live. The analyst will also create a consistent QA checklist and issue-tracking format for all engagements and identify recurring problems to inform process improvements. The role is part of the Data Services team within the Enablement organization and reports to the PMO Team Lead. It involves close collaboration with Consultants, Business and Data Analysts, Data Engineers, Project Managers, and other delivery colleagues. When QA volume is lighter, the analyst will provide delivery support. Practifi provides onboarding and training, a Practibuddy mentor, support toward a Salesforce certification, and an annual Learnbucks education stipend. The position is fully remote within the United States. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the US without employer sponsorship; visa sponsorship is not provided.

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in data quality, data migration, data validation, or quality assurance, ideally in a CRM or software environment.
  • Hands-on experience reconciling data, including comparing record counts, performing field-by-field checks, and finding duplicate and orphaned records.
  • Comfort working inside Salesforce or a comparable CRM and navigating objects, records, and related lists.
  • Working understanding of relational data, including IDs, lookups, and records that link other records.
  • Experience logging and tracking issues in JIRA, Asana, or a similar tool.
  • Clear written communication, including presenting findings in a way non-technical stakeholders can act on.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US for any employer without sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Salesforce Inspector, Salesforce Developer Console, Data Loader, or SOQL queries.
  • Background in wealth management, financial services, or another regulated industry.
  • Experience supporting client onboarding or software implementation projects.
  • Strong spreadsheet skills, including lookups, pivot tables, and conditional formatting.

Responsibilities

  • Validate data migrations end to end by analyzing source data and checking records and relationships in Practifi against the client's Data Mapping Document.
  • Check record counts, missing values, duplicates, orphaned contacts, inconsistent values, valid External Ids and Batch Ids, record ownership, relationship links, and reconciliation to source data.
  • Capture screenshots of failed checks, log findings in Asana and JIRA, route fixes to engineering, and retest corrected data.
  • Provide metrics to the Project Manager, Consultant, or Business Analyst after each Initial Load and Final Load.
  • Prepare the final QA sign-off report before go-live.
  • Escalate data issues that put a go-live at risk to the Project Manager within 24 hours.
  • Create and maintain a standard QA checklist and issue-tracking format for all engagements.
  • Track recurring issues across clients and contribute to process improvements.
  • Provide delivery support when QA volume is lighter.
  • Complete Practifi onboarding and training, including the PractifiU curriculum, and earn a Salesforce certification with company support.

  • 20 days of paid vacation, 10 sick days, 3 personal days, and 3 volunteering days annually.
  • Medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance benefits.
  • 401(k) with company match.
  • Annual Learnbucks education stipend for courses and certifications.
  • Company-supported time and support to earn a Salesforce certification.
  • Practibuddy mentor from the first day.
  • Bi-annual in-person company summits in Chicago.
