The Fraud Analytics and Data Operations (FADO) division of the Office of Inspector General (OIG) is seeking a Data Project Analyst (Data Analyst IV). The Data Project Analyst performs moderately complex project management work, along with consultative and technical system and data support work related to the development and implementation of Data Operations data projects and strategic initiatives. This position will assist OIG business areas by supporting projects and operations for OIG Provider Enrollment Integrity Screenings (PEIS) use of the Provider Enrollment Management System (PEMS) and the Medicaid Fraud and Abuse Detection System (MFADS). This position will primarily serve as the technical liaison and support coordinator for PEMS, but may work on MFADS systems and projects if needed. Support includes analyzing and documenting business and system operation needs and limitations, serving as primary stakeholder on PEMS related projects. The position reports to the Director of Data Research and Support and works under limited supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. The work involves coordinating the planning and initiation of complex data support and operational projects and strategic initiatives throughout the project lifecycle; monitoring the progress and the schedule of projects; and communicating with project stakeholders, management, and other relevant parties. In consultation with management, this position directs, assigns, and monitors the work of project and vendor staff, and will provide guidance to others during the project lifecycle. Oversees coordination and collaboration between FADO and the PEIS Screening leadership team to ensure that identified system issues, and changes to systems and business processes are clearly communicated and implemented in an effective, efficient, and timely manner.
