About The Position

The Data Product Management Analyst is a key member of the Data Product Management Team. The Data Product Analyst will drive strategic thinking for Ford’s Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) and will responsible for contributing to the development, implementation, and lifecycle management of high-quality reusable foundational data products, bringing in strategic sources for enterprise needs, and data capabilities. This role involves close collaboration with Ford skill teams, Analytic, GDIA DPE Teams, especially Central Engineering, and other stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions. The Analyst will focus on specific aspects of the data product lifecycle as well as new opportunities to support prioritized Ford initiatives with data.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent (Masters Degree preferred).
  • Minimum 3 years experience in a Data Engineering or equivalent role
  • Demonstrated working knowledge or experience in Quality, Manufacturing and Product Development.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience owning data products, platforms, or analytics solutions from concept through launch and ongoing enhancement.
  • Strong understanding of data architecture, data pipelines, APIs, data models, and modern cloud data platforms.
  • Experience translating complex business problems and data requirements into clear product strategies, roadmaps, and user stories.
  • Demonstrated ability to work closely with Data Engineering, Data Science, Software Engineering, Analytics, and business stakeholders.
  • Experience defining and tracking data quality, product adoption, performance, and business outcome metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Support data product development decisions, identifying trends, patterns, synergies, and areas for improvement, while also identifying opportunities to combine existing data assets into new, high-value solutions for the enterprise.
  • Work effectively within an agile team environment, collaborating closely with GDIA Analytics Teams, Enterprise Business Requestor, Data Engineers, and other stakeholders.
  • Build strong partnerships across business, data source, and engineering teams for cross-team collaboration.
  • Clearly communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Constantly apply prioritization principles across all work.
  • Actively contribute to quarterly planning by developing and maintaining a strategic, quarter-over-quarter roadmap. You will be a part of the team responsible for tracking delivery against this roadmap and reporting on the realized business value of completed work to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Ensure: Data products meet defined data engineering standards before release.
  • Ensure: Data quality and integrity throughout the data product lifecycle.
  • Understand and support established data governance policies and procedures.
  • Routinely track data source and product usage.
  • Leverage market research and competitor analysis, providing insights to inform data product strategy.
