About The Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Data Product Manager to lead the strategy, roadmap, and execution of our data ingestion platform. This platform is critical to our organization, ingesting a wide variety of data types—structured, unstructured, real-time, and batch—from diverse sources. The ideal candidate is a seasoned product leader with a proven track record of successfully delivering data products that meet and exceed user needs. This role requires a strong understanding of data engineering principles, product management best practices, and a passion for building high-quality, scalable, and reliable data solutions. Based in Dearborn, MI, this is a hybrid position with a requirement to be onsite four or more days per week. Relocation assistance may be available for qualified candidates.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
5+ years of experience in product management, with a focus on data products.
3+ years of proven ability to define and execute product roadmaps.
3+ years of experience with Agile development methodologies.

Nice To Haves

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration or related field
Deep understanding of data ingestion principles, technologies, and best practices.
Experience with various data types (structured, unstructured, real-time, batch).
Experience with data visualization and analytics tools is a plus.
Experience with cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

Define and champion the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the data ingestion platform. This includes conducting market research, competitive analysis, and customer discovery to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
Elicit and prioritize requirements from stakeholders across the organization, balancing business needs with technical feasibility and resource constraints. This includes actively engaging with data engineers, data scientists, and business users.
Collaborate with engineering teams to design, develop, and launch new features and improvements to the data ingestion platform. This includes creating detailed product specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for new features and platform updates.
Monitor platform performance, user adoption, and identify areas for improvement. This includes analyzing usage data, conducting user surveys, and gathering feedback.
Effectively communicate product vision, strategy, and progress to stakeholders across the organization, including executive leadership, engineering, and business units.
Regularly engage with users to understand their needs, pain points, and expectations. This includes conducting user interviews, surveys, and usability testing.
Employ various product discovery techniques to identify and validate product opportunities.
Prepare and present regular product updates and performance reviews to leadership.
Conduct regular pulse checks and surveys to monitor user satisfaction and identify emerging issues.
