About The Position

The Connected Vehicle Data Product Management Analyst is a key member of the Data Product Management Team. The Data Product Manager will drive strategic thinking for Ford’s Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) and will be responsible for contributing to the development, implementation, and lifecycle management of high-quality reusable foundational data products, bringing in strategic sources for enterprise needs, and data capabilities. This role involves close collaboration with Ford skill teams, Analytic, GDIA Connected Vehicle Data Engineering Teams, and other stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions. The Analyst will focus on specific aspects of the data product lifecycle as well as new opportunities to support prioritized Ford initiatives with data.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, statistics, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in data engineering, data science, data analysis.
  • Proven experience working with large datasets and data processing tools (e.g., SQL, Python, Kafka Streaming, terraform, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing and data modeling concepts.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills. Ability to write effective agendas and run meetings that drive to decisions and critical follow up actions.
  • Applied experience with connected vehicle data.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)

Responsibilities

  • Support data product development decisions, identifying trends, patterns, synergies, and areas for improvement, while also identifying opportunities to combine existing data assets into new, high-value solutions for the enterprise.
  • Work effectively within an agile team environment, collaborating closely with GDIA Analytics Teams, Enterprise Business Requestors, Data Engineers, and other stakeholders.
  • Continue strong partnerships across business, data sources, and engineering teams for cross-team collaboration.
  • Clearly communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Constantly apply prioritization principles across all work.
  • Actively contribute to quarterly planning by developing and maintaining a strategic, quarter-over-quarter roadmap. You will be a part of the team responsible for tracking delivery against this roadmap and reporting on the realized business value of completed work to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Ensure Data products meet defined data engineering and compliance standards before release.
  • Ensure Data quality and integrity throughout the data product lifecycle.
  • Understand and support established data governance policies and procedures.
  • Routinely track data source and product usage.
  • Leverage market research and competitor analysis, providing insights to inform data product strategy.
  • Contribute to cross team project plans by leading efforts for validation of scope and complexity.
