Data Product Analyst

Altera Semiconductor•San Jose, CA

About The Position

The Data Product Analyst is responsible for the integrity and effectiveness of the data layer behind product experiences, analytics, and AI-assisted workflows. The role owns the end-to-end quality and usability of data, ensuring it is accurate, clearly defined, and reliable in real-world use. The analyst coordinates with design, program management, and technical teams to ensure data is sourced, structured, and delivered in ways that support trusted outcomes. Although AI tools are used to accelerate analysis and workflows, the analyst remains accountable for validating correctness and performance. This is neither a pure analysis role nor an engineering role; it centers on making data products trustworthy at scale. The role owns and prioritizes the data product backlog, translates design and workflow needs into precise data requirements, develops an understanding of data structures and relationships across sources, and ensures accuracy and consistency. It also validates data performance, communicates actionable analysis and exceptions to program management and leadership, and bridges product intent, data readiness, and delivered outcomes. The analyst works with technical pipeline and SQL owners while retaining responsibility for definitions, quality acceptance, and trust in the final data product.
