About The Position

Hammer Media is hiring its first Senior Data Product Analyst to establish a reliable data and analytics foundation for Dollarwise, its financial health platform. Reporting to the Head of Product and working closely with product and engineering, this person will assess the company’s current, limited and scattered data, identify gaps, and develop a prioritized plan to address them. The role includes evaluating analytics, warehousing, and business intelligence vendors and recommending tools appropriate to the company’s needs. The analyst will define shared product operating metrics and build dashboards for product, engineering, leadership, and product marketing. They will partner with engineering on event tracking and instrumentation, establish data quality and documentation practices, and translate questions into actionable analysis and recommendations. They will also help product teams size opportunities and measure shipped work, while enabling self-service reporting where appropriate. As the data foundation matures, the role is expected to grow into product ownership of consumer-facing data for Dollarwise. This includes setting strategy for how data appears in the member experience, partnering with product and engineering on data-driven features, and bringing a data perspective to the roadmap. The role is based in the East Austin office.
