The Utah Office of Data Privacy has an opening for a legal intern. This position may be filled as a paid position that is ineligible for school credit or an unpaid position that may be eligible for school credit. The Office of Data Privacy cannot guarantee school credit, and applicants are encouraged to check with their school’s internship coordinator. The legal intern may assist different programs within the Utah Office of Data Privacy, although much of their work will be dedicated to the development of new data governance models. The legal intern will be tasked with researching, reviewing, analyzing, and summarizing state and federal constitutional provisions, laws, rules, and regulations; executive orders; ordinances enacted by political subdivisions; internal policies of governmental entities; court decisions; administrative decisions and rulings; and proposed state or federal legislation.
