About The Position

Hawk-Eye Innovations is seeking a Data Operations Coordinator to oversee our NWSL (Soccer) tracking data delivery. This role involves managing various data feeds distributed to clients and stakeholders with varying latencies, ensuring the smooth operation of this live service, and managing the storage of historical data. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of optical tracking, possess team management and feedback skills for tracking technical operators, and liaise effectively with the Tracking Lead. This position is crucial for ensuring the seamless delivery of tracking data output and requires a hands-on approach to problem-solving.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or 2+ years of Production/Technical experience in a successful branded company/organization.
  • Experience working across a global business within a multicultural working environment.
  • Experience introducing and executing new processes across a team.
  • Knowledge of the sport and its officiating (Soccer).
  • Communication skills are key to this role, you will be required to manage issues and report back status of delivery consistently. As well as liaise with clients and other stakeholders constantly in a professional manner.
  • Time management skills and the ability to work in a high-pressure, live sporting environment.
  • Experience in data investigation and data-driven decision-making.
  • Ability to prioritize, address high-priority issues, and escalate to leadership.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within operations or sports technology.
  • Proficient in using presentation tools such as Google Slides and Google Sheets.
  • This position will require schedule flexibility, and will mainly revolve around weekends, late nights, and holidays, during the season (March-November), while becoming a regular 9-5/Monday-Friday, during the off-season (December-February).
  • During season: expectation is about 24 hours between Fridays-Monday / 16 hours throughout the rest of the week.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the delivery of our Data Feeds, ensuring data outputs are accurate and actioning where needed to meet different deadlines.
  • Data Storage Management and Accessibility.
  • Liaising with the League, clubs, broadcasters, and internal operators to deliver a flawless operation.
  • Oversee pre-game checks of the systems in accordance with standard procedures and solve problems in a timely manner when issues arise.
  • Execute weekly hardware investigations and resolutions, ensuring follow-up and communication.
  • Assist with leading training sessions across tracking technical operators.
  • Assist and oversee the operation of the technologies during the game remotely from the Atlanta Office.
  • Travel required along the season for maintenance and live delivery from onsite (occasionally).
